Gul Ahmed Wind Power

Based on this, Gul Ahmed Energy Limited formed a 55.1% owned subsidiary (Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited) and acquired letter of intents for 1 x 50 MW wind generation project under the Government of Pakistan’s (GOP) Policy for Development of Renewable Energy for Power Generation 2006.

The proposed wind farm site is situated in the south of Pakistan, i.e. between Karachi & Hyderabad. Jhimpir is located approximately 100 km inland from the coast in a semi desert area, the nearest habitat being Jhimpir (2.5 km southeast) and Nooriabad (22 km North-West).

The site is located over approximately 645 acres of land, sufficient to install one 50MW wind power plant. The project site is located adjacent to the National Highway and provides clear access to the Gul Ahmed Wind Power Project site.

The Project is in Commercial Operation Since Oct 2016.

Gul Ahmed Electric Limited

Gul Ahmed Energy Limited also formed a 100% owned subsidiary (Gul Ahmed Electric Limited) and obtained letter of intents for 1 x 50 MW wind generation project under the Government of Pakistan’s (GOP) Policy for Development of Renewable Energy for Power Generation 2006.

The wind farm Project is located in Jhimpir, which is located approximately 130 km from Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial hub and main coastal/port city. The Project site consists of 370 acres of land, which is leased by GoS. The Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (Super Highway) and National Highway are the connecting roads to the Project site. The Jhimpir wind corridor is identified as a potential area for the development of wind power projects.

The Project is in Construction Phase and will continue operation until December 2021.

Gul Ahmed Solar Power Limited

Gul Ahmed Solar Power Limited is intending to build a 50 MW Solar power plant in Jhimpir site located approximately 119 km from Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial hub and main coastal/port city. The Project site consists of 250 acres of land, which has been leased by the Government of Sindh to the Project Company. The Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (Super Highway) and National Highway are the connecting roads to the Project site. As of now, the Project Company has been granted a Letter of Intent (LOI) from the Directorate of Alternate Energy, Energy Department, Government of Sindh (GoS).
