We’d like to think we do a pretty good job at keeping up with the latest trends on our own. It’s all about keeping your eyes and ears open to which colours are dominating the season, and which styles are being ditched.
Easier said than done though!
Trends come and go at breakneck speed, and it only makes sense to consult a professional in times of need. Their expert eye is invaluable! We asked the uber-talented stylist, Ania Fawad, for her top picks and colour combinations. Here’s what she had to say!
A.F: These delicate winter whites by Faraz Manan are at the top of my wish list this shaadi season!
A.F: If you guys loved the red-on-red Sabyasaachi lehanga-choli Priyanka Chopra wore for her Indian wedding, you’re in luck because I’ve found you a similar look! How stunning is this all red lehenga-choli set by Omrose?
A.F: Pastels! Don’t shy away from wearing Pastels this winter. You can take summer colours into the winter season by pairing them with darker coloured accessories. Using a pair of statement earrings for a pop of colour is always a good idea. This beautiful pink outfit from Suffuse by Sana Yasir has my heart.
A.F: Here I’ve paired a chic mint green number by Elan with emerald floral drop earrings by Mahrukh Akuly Jewelry.
A.F: Whether you want to go with a more contemporary cut or a traditional one, velvets will not only keep you warm but also keep you on trend this wedding season! My personal favourite velvet pieces right now are by Misha Lakhani, Farah Talib Aziz and Nomi Ansari.
A.F: For those of you who prefer playing it safe, you can always take the traditional route and go with a classic pishwaas. Solid colours are always safe and easy to style. How gorgeous are these pieces by Nida Azwer?
