By Warmer months brings so many positive things into our lives, from sipping iced peach teas to fresh flowers to travel plans, it’s all about the good vibes. One of the most exciting things about shopping this time of year are the abundance of lawn collections, and we’ve got our eyes on one in particular!Â
Nergis, Ammara Khan’s Spring/Summer 2022 Unstitched Lawn Prints collection, is composed of high quality detailed digital prints on premium fabrics, and features a beautiful blend of pastel colours, floaty florals and feminine motifs that are perfect for the season. We had the chance to ask the designer herself some questions regarding the collection, so if you’re interested in finding out – keep reading!
What is the inspiration behind the collection?
Nature remains one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me. While designing for Spring Summer, I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the gardens of Lahore as they come to life this time of the year. The aura of the whole collection is celebratory, cheerful and super pretty. Just like a flower.
How many designs have you created for this collection and which one is your favourite?
We have a collection of 12 unique designs in an array of beautiful shades. I would say all the pinks are my favourite as always!
Can you tell us why you cherish florals so dearly?
I have a love for flowers since I was a little girl. I used to collect flowers to ‘press’ them in books for months and to arrange them in vases all over the house. To me they symbolise happiness.
How is this collection different from other unstitched collections?
The AMMARA KHAN aesthetic is unique and original; our compositions are designed to compliment everyone! Since we began designing our lawn prints, we chose to not cover them with embroidery and instead allow the actual design to be the most relevant. Our lawn includes an addition of lace trims that we have used in the shoot sample design too, so our valued patrons can enhance their creations the way we have! We are confident to say that our fabric is the very finest of Pakistan. Premium quality, soft breathable lawn. Doesn’t get better than this!
Peach and Fresh Mint
Beautiful peach and fresh minty green comes together with stunning floral imagery, perfect for Spring. Simply too pretty for words!
Lavender Grey
A beautiful lawn shirt artfully composed with linear and floral motifs in a soft lilac colour. It is uplifted with a stunning chiffon dupatta in cheerful tones of aqua green, yellows and pinks. Simply stunning!
Canary Yellow and Porcelain Blue
A gorgeous combination of yellow and porcelain blues come together to create this wonderful design.
Soft Powdery Blue And Beige
Pastel perfection best describes this beautiful design in tones of soft powdery blues, yellow and ivory. The dupatta is bright and colourful with a gorgeous play of patterns derived from Eastern art. Unique and utterly beautiful in all aspects!
Pastel Pink
The prettiest welcome to Spring Summer via this gorgeous design covered with dainty florals of a variety of different kinds. Think of a wild English garden. Gorgeous all the way!
Rose Pink And Peach
A simply beautiful design with unique florals and vine leaves flowing in a delicate composition. The design is a lovely combination of peaches and pinks, with oriental inspired urns. Perfect for the season as we step into summer time!
Indigo Blue
A summer time wardrobe is never complete without a deep blue, referencing our thoughts to be by the sea side enjoying a cool breeze. This stunning blue base is creatively covered with ‘nargis’ flowers.
Ferozi and Yellow
Super pretty, fun and vibrant tunic with floral motifs and a pop of bright yellow. Gorgeous for this season!
Aqua
A diagonal pattern juxtaposed with delicate florals for a beautiful impact. Fresh aqua greens and tones of pink and orange are an ode to spring. Delightful and elegant – sure to be a favourite!
