While these talented women continue to be a part of our playlists and help us vibe when we need to most, it is time to shine some light on the upcoming female artists gracing us with their presence on different platforms around Pakistan and the rest of the world. Keep reading for a list of 8 upcoming female artists that you need to keep an eye out for.

Shae Gill 

You guessed it right – the first one on our list is our beautiful ‘Pasoori’ singer. Her sweet voice adds charm to the song and we don’t know about you, but everyone at Mashion has definitely heard this song on repeat since it was released. Arooj Aftab 

Aftab is a Brooklyn-based Pakistani vocalist and music composer. She has not only won an Emmy in the News and Documentary category in 2018, but she has a beautiful voice too. Her recent song with Asfar Hussain, ‘Mehram’ has been making the rounds on the internet, and you should definitely keep an eye out for more of her singles. 

Sarah Haider 

Sarah Haider is a Pakistani singer and songwriter. She started her career as a backing vocalist in Coke Studio and upon her debut, she has also won a LUX style award. Her sweet voice really makes one sway along to the beat of the music. She has come a long way from being a backing vocalist, and has pursued acting as a career as well.

Gul Panra 

A Pakistani-Pashto folk singer and touring artist, she sang ‘Man Amadeh Am’ with Atif Aslam in Persian in the year 2015. Since then she has been releasing singles and collaborations. Her unique and harmonic voice is a treat in itself, but she is also a representation for our Pashto comrades. 

Komal Rizvi 

Rizvi is a television host, actress and a singer. Known for her song released in 2011 by Coke Studio, ‘Daanah Pah Daanah’, her recent releases are no less than melodious, so give her song ‘Jogiya’ a listen by clicking the link below.

Sanam Marvi 

A Pakistani folk and sufi singer, she can sing in Punjabi, Sindhi and Balochi. Being a part of Coke Studio from the start, her songs have been a beautiful contribution to the music industry of Pakistan. Click on the link below to hear her song and watch the official music video.

Damia Farooq 

You might already be familiar with this comforting voice but if not, she is the youngest artist in Coke Studio as she started off her career at the age of 13, and has sung everybody’s favourite OST with Farhan Saeed and Rimsha Khan. Her latest work is an OST called ‘Gumraah’ which is another captivating song – watch out for this rising star!

Natasha Baig 

A singer-songwriter from Hunza Valley, she makes Pakistan proud of her range in different styles of music, including sufi rock. It was difficult to choose one song from the many that have been released, but she is bound to make you a fan regardless of which song you hear!
